A Cooking Show for the People
feedback@hotkitchenonline.com
Cooking and baking good food has always been my favorite means of artistic expression. I’ve been drawn into the kitchen from before I was big enough to see the counter. I’ve always loved the way that a great meal can be prepared from the humblest of ingredients, and in the hands of a loving cook these simple ingredients transform into extraordinary pieces of edible art; tokens of love that can be eaten and taken into the body.
I’ve watched cooking shows for a long time, picking up tips and nuggets of wisdom along the way, but still hungry for more knowledge. Inevitably, my passions whisked me away to a Le Cordon Bleu culinary school where I had the amazing experience of learning all about foods, flavor, technique, restaurants, and service that have become the foundation of my cooking today. My style is based in classic french technique with my own take on flavor, and enhancing nutrition with lots of fresh ingredients. After my great learning experience I would still watch cooking shows. Sometimes I really wondered if the host was truly passionate about the food, or if the show was just a job to them. I would get frustrated by the expensive specialty ingredients called out in the recipes and the lack of explanation of technique. I also have a problem because to me, food is love. Where is the love in all these cooking shows?
Our little cooking show is 100% produced by me and my husband. We believe that romance, love, and food are
synonymous. We know that true romance is something to be cherished, cultured, and nurtured, much like a fine meal. We have been working hard to make our show the best it can be. We have designed our show to focus on simplifying cooking. We always want you to feel like you are hanging out in the Hot Kitchen and cooking along with me. We try to stay away from specialty ingredients that are expensive and/or difficult to find, and focus on fresh foods and whole ingredients. Most all of the ingredients in my recipes can be substituted with comparable flavors without compromising the dish. In my Hot Kitchen, food should not ever be complex or intimidating. These meals are specifically designed for a special night in, as an alternative to dining out, and as such they are a bit more decadent than your normal every day cuisine.
We want for you to enjoy our shows, try our recipes, and really try out the date night at home concept. Turn off the cell phones, drop the kids off at a friend’s house for an evening, lock the doors, and slip into something that your sweetie will find, hmmmm… appetizing!. Set yourself up to have a relaxing, uninterrupted evening where food and romance blend together to bring you and your sweetie closer. Enjoy the way homemade food crafted by loving hands is a catalyst for true romance.
We are quick to respond to any questions you may have and we LOVE comments. Each comment makes us smile and inspires us to film a new episode for you every week!
Our little show is a work in progress, so tell us what you think and ask us any questions! Please leave a comment!!
Thank you!
