Hot Kitchen is the work and love of me and my husband. We started to make this little cooking show because we believe that romance, food, and love are synonymous.
Each episode of Hot Kitchen shares a menu of recipes, scaled down for two. Each episode shares a delicious dinner for your Date-Night at Home. We stay away from expensive or exotic ingredients, and demonstrate scratch cooking!
I am Wendy, your Hot Kitchen hostess.
I graduated top of my class from Le Cordon Bleu Portland, and love to share my passion for cooking really good food. I have been cooking since I was big enough to peek over the counter. I share my lifetime of learnings by designing the menus, writing/testing the recipes, and demonstrating them on our cooking show. My husband, Trazy, is an artistic genius.
He is the “hungry hubby” who is behind the camera acting as camera-man, director, and producer. He keeps the show flowing beautifully with his artistic vision.
Hot Kitchen is a unique cooking show in that it is just me and my hubby doing it all. We are not like other shows you seen on the Food Network or Cooking Channel. We have no production company, no crew, and no nonsense! The Hot Kitchen is shot on location in our real kitchen. The food we cook for the show is actually our dinner!
What is a Date Night at Home? It is a less expensive, more intimate alternative than taking your sweetie out to dinner. We encourage you to make the time special by turning off the phones, closing the laptops, putting the kids to bed, slipping into something sexy. Cherish the time! We encourage you to “Mise en Plas” (prepare) ingredients ahead so that you and your sweetie can just cook, eat, and love.
We LOVE comments and are quick to respond to questions. Email us at feedback-at-hotkitchenonline-dot-com anytime!
Love, Hot Kitchen

Becca & Jeff says:
Hey Windy….. My sweetie and I were just watching some old episodes and couldn’t help but notice that Trazy has done a little remastering. Lol, we have now seen a couple of flesh shots! Jeff literally had to re watch the end of the episode cuz he didn’t catch it. It was too cool to notice the subtle changes. You are doing a great job, I am in need of a really good marinade for some lucious lamb chops that we were given… He likes a little mint but I think the mint jelly is just brainless. So I want to do something that will knock his stocks off! Of coarse we will be doing the naked apron thing on our date night. But I need a little help for my Sunday dinner.
Love and good eats,
Jeff & Becca
Hot Kitchen says:
Hi there lovebirds,
Thank you so much for letting us know you’re enjoying the show. We can’t help but get a little, well, artistic from time to time
As far as your lambchops, I hope I’m not too late in responding. I really like how we did lamb chops in episode #48. We marinated them in red wine and garlic then made a fresh apple-mint-chili chutney kind of sauce. The fresh apple is really good and the fresh mint is anything but overpowering! It’s a backnote, not the feature.
You two keep on rockin’ your Hot Kitchen!
Much love,
Wendy & Trazy

I just watched your yummy strawberry duck recipe again. You are good, but Girl you need some better tools. Let me show what I have. I am with The Pampered Chef and you check out my stuff at http://www.pamperedchef.biz/wendylove.
Hot Kitchen says:
lol! It looks that way sometimes, doesn’t it? You know, all we’re trying to portray is that extraordinary foods can be made with the most basic of tools. It is central to our concept, actually.
That said, I’ll be taking a look at your link
I’m a sucker for kitchen toys even though I don’t pull them all out on the show.

I am having a dinner party and I want to have chicken wings as part of the meal. How long should I bake them for to make them taste perfectly tender?
Hot Kitchen says:
We just fired off an email to you explaining how we like to make our chicken wings. Hope that you find it helpful
Thank you so much for stopping in to ask a question <3 Hot Kitchen

Wendy & Trazy,
We love your show. We have now accomplished about 5 or 6 of your date night meals, and we have loved watching and cooking together. I must admit…. We add our own twist with naked apron cooking. That keeps things really interesting in our kitchen, lol. However sometimes it takes about three hours to finish a meal because things keep getting hot!
We love the concept of love that you and your sweetie deliver in your show. It’s refreshing to watch as you advocate togetherness and love along with a lot of spice.
Please keep the show going…..you are the only skinny cook I trust!
Becca & Jeff
Hot Kitchen says:
Dear Becca and Jeff,
That’s awesome!!!! Love that you guys are having a great time with your own take on “.Date Night at Home” We plan to keep on going with our little cooking show until further notice
We’re going to be up on Dish Network on Demand after the first of the year, with Direct TV and Comcast to follow…and who knows what else?

Let the love flow!

A nutritious cook on a shoe string says:
I have been telling everyone I know about your hot kitchen show. Some who want to watch only have satelite. How can they view the show?
Of course I bought the cookbook. You work hard and shouldn’t give away your recipes. Sell the single ones. You are the brand, not the recipe.
Pet the kitty.
Hot Kitchen says:
Hi! Thank you for your note. We’re on some satellite systems in some areas. Dish Network and Echostar will sometimes offer us as on demand programming. Other than that they can download our show free through I-tunes, watch us on youtube, roku, or of course our own homepage!
Thank you for picking up a copy of the book

Thank you so much for the visit! Enjoy our recipes and the show. Every recipe is original and I design them to be adaptable and to avoid rare and expensive ingredients (like truffle oil or boar bacon). Each episode features a menu of recipes that we think are awesome together. We try to design them with cross-functional ingredients, balancing flavors, textures, prep time and to a point nutrition.
Great to hear from you!
Love, Hot Kitchen

Beverly says:
Just watched the sesame ginger garlic chicken episode and I am SO glad you recommended your youtube site to me! These three recipes are uncomplicated, look delicious and contain ingredients I keep in the kitchen. I’m pretty excited and can’t wait to watch more episodes. Sometimes it’s easy just to throw together a pot of spaghetti after a day at work but with a little prep time, these could be after work meals too. Thanks so much again!! Love your site.
Hot Kitchen says:
@ Beverly,
Thank you so much for coming over from YouTube to check out our full episodes. You’re right, with a bit of prep, most of our dinners are great for weeknights too! We’re all about giving you great ideas scaled down for two.
Thanks for dropping us a line. It means a lot to hear from you, and it is motivational for us
